REGHT Smallsword is an exceptionally light thrusting weapon that evolved from the Renaissance rapier. It reached the height of its popularity in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, first appearing in France before spreading across Europe.

Over time, the smallsword developed into the French nobleman’s sword, which later gave rise to the modern Olympic épée and foil. It was used by military officers as a sidearm well into the First World War, while also serving as an elegant part of everyday dress and a weapon for duels.

The REGHT Smallsword is a fast, lightweight thrusting weapon with a long triangular blade, a round cup guard, and half-rings beneath the guard. Its extra-long blade and short ricasso keep the total weight down to just 450 g, making it exceptionally agile in the hand.

In modern HEMA, smallsword tournaments are held under different rulesets, with varying requirements for blade length, weapon model, weight, and other specifications depending on the historical period being studied.

The entire line is designed to be assembled with a standard sport fencing blade. So if your blade breaks, replacing it is quick and easy.
